California Multiday Flood Threat Returns On New Year’s Eve

The threat of multi-day flooding will return to already inundated California starting Wednesday and could continue through the weekend and potentially into next week. Unfortunately, rain will impact many New Year’s Eve outdoor celebrations, so plan to bring your rain gear. Rain will become more widespread between Wednesday night and Thursday. Local heavy rain and occasional thunderstorms will occur in and around the LA basin early Thursday morning. We cannot rule out the possibility of an isolated tornado in Southern California, so please pay attention to the weather if you plan to go to the Rose Parade in Pasadena.
