M1 traffic LIVE: Huge crash as overturned lorry sparks 3miles of chaos | UK | News

There was traffic chaos on the M1 motorway after a truck crashed and overturned on England’s main motorway. Dramatic images taken from the scene show the truck lying on its side and the barrier being severely damaged, probably as a result of the accident.

National Highways East said: “Lanes 1 and 2 (from 4) southbound on the #M1 between J14 (#Broughton) and J13 (#Brogborough) are closed due to an overturned lorry. There is currently approximately 3.5 miles of traffic congestion on approach, causing delays of 30 minutes above normal journey times.”
