M1 crash :Lorry smash in Storm Goretti heavy snow shuts lanes | UK | News

A busy highway was partially closed due to snowy weather conditions.

The incident occurred on the northern boundary of the M1 motorway between junction 28 Mansfield and junction 29 Chesterfield, following a lorry crash in the early hours of Friday morning (January 9). reports The Mirror.

Three out of four lanes are currently closed as snowfall has also caused disruptions on the highway. National Highways said efforts to recover the truck are ongoing and winter fleet vehicles are on the road to clear the snow.

Delays are expected due to a reported four kilometer traffic jam.
