Trump admin investigates anti-ICE mob storming church

President Donald Trump’s administration launched an investigation after anti-ICE agitators stormed a church in Minneapolis on Sunday.
Dozens of agitators burst into the Cities Church sanctuary about halfway through the service, church attendees told Fox News Digital. The crowd protested that one of the priests had been detained by ICE in St. Believing himself to be the acting director of the field office, Paul stormed the building.

“If state leaders refuse to act responsibly to prevent lawlessness, this Department of Justice will continue to mobilize to prosecute federal crimes and ensure the rule of law,” he added.
White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt also condemned the attack in a statement on social media. Footage of the incident showed a crowd disrupting a church service with shouts. Church attendees told Fox that as they tried to leave the scene, agitators in some surrounding vehicles followed them into the parking lot and tried to prevent them from leaving.
“President Trump will not tolerate the intimidation and harassment of Christians in their sacred places of worship,” Leavitt said.

“The Department of Justice has launched a comprehensive investigation into a despicable incident that occurred at a church in Minnesota earlier today,” he continued.
Harmeet Dhillon, the assistant attorney general for civil rights, said she and her team were “working hard” to investigate the incident.
“We will not rest until we deliver justice,” Dhillon said in a statement. he said.

Meanwhile, Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey defended Anti-ICE protesters are pushing back against federal officials who have called the demonstrations dangerous or unlawful and rejecting claims that state and local leaders are responsible for fueling the unrest.
Appearing on CBS’ Face the Nation on Sunday, Frey rejected the Trump administration’s characterization of an immigration crackdown in Minnesota and argued that an increase in federal agents has led residents to feel targeted rather than protected.

“This has nothing to do with security. This has to do with thousands of people coming into our city and terrorizing people just because they’re Latino or Somali,” Frey said. he said. “People in Minneapolis are speaking out. They’re speaking out peacefully. They’re defending their neighbors. And this isn’t just about resisting Trump. This is about loving and caring about the people who call this city home. And it’s been inspiring.”
