Sarah Ferguson’s charity is shut down after probe into her links with disgraced sex offender Jeffrey Epstein
Sarah Ferguson’s charity has been shut down following scrutiny of its links to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
Sarah’s Trust, which introduced charities to good causes in need of funding, was officially wound up last month after first registering with the Charity Commission in 2018.
The commission’s website states that the trust has been ‘abolished’, meaning it is no longer a registered charity.
It is also listed at Companies House as a ‘charitable incorporated organisation’ but its status is currently ‘converted/closed’.
The king’s former sister-in-law has faced calls to speak to US officials about financier Epstein after millions of documents were released earlier this year that shed new light on their relationship.
One email exchange claimed that Sarah took her daughters to see Epstein just days after he was released from prison for child sex crimes.
In February, shortly after new details of their relationship began to emerge, he reportedly said the foundation would be closing in the near future.
Other charities linked to the former duchess have also cut ties, including the Teenage Cancer Trust, which left her as patron after 35 years, Wiltshire and Dorset-based children’s hospice Julia’s House, Breast Cancer Prevention, the Natasha Allergy Research Foundation and the National Trust for Pensioner Service Animals.

Epstein was also at the center of the downfall of her ex-husband Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor; He was stripped of his titles by the King for ‘serious errors of judgment’ over his friendship with the deceased pedophile.
Sarah lost her title in the royal divorce and reverted to her maiden name. He also lost the freedom of the City of York after councilors voted unanimously to remove the honor stemming from his connections to Epstein.
She and Andrew were given the honor as a wedding gift from York during a visit to the city in 1987.
Sarah lived with her ex-husband at her former home, Royal Lodge, but the King’s brother was forced to vacate Marsh Farm on the King’s Sandringham estate in Norfolk.
The former duchess has been forced to find a new home amid speculation that she may move abroad permanently.
