Bellingham the boozer! Real Madrid star Jude mocks YouTuber who said he ‘loves alcohol too much’ and has been to ‘every nightclub in Spain’ with ‘drinking’ goal celebration

Jude Bellingham had a meaningful celebration after scoring a goal against Ligue 1 team Monaco in the Champions League match on Tuesday night, after the Real Madrid star was accused of ‘loving alcohol’ by a Spanish internet star.

YouTube streamer AuronPlay launched a scathing attack on the England international last week, painting a picture of a midfielder obsessed with the Spanish party scene in one of his videos.

Making his own statement regarding Bellingham’s decline in form this season, the social media star said: ‘There is not a single nightclub in Spain that Jude Bellingham has not visited.

‘He loves alcohol very much.’

‘Have you seen him in training?’ he added. ‘He sweats the whole rum. ‘He loves to party.’

Bellingham chose to remain silent when the video was first published, but he couldn’t resist putting his fingers to his lips as if he were taking a drink after scoring his side’s final goal as Los Blancos ran out 6-1 winners in Madrid.

‘My celebration? A lot of people say a lot of things,” Bellingham explained after the final whistle. ‘Anyone can get in front of the camera and say whatever they want and people will believe it.

‘You can either cry or enjoy it. The celebration was a joke for the fans. I know what is going on in my life, what I gave for football.

‘I don’t care about the noise coming from outside. But it was just a joke.”

Bellingham added to the tease with a social media post celebrating his role in the European win: ‘Cheers. (Beer emoji)’

Apart from an off-season break in Ibiza last summer with his younger brother Jobe and friends – a standard holiday for top-flight footballers – Bellingham has rarely been seen in town and has previously emphasized in interviews that his routine in Madrid involves going out for coffee and spending time at home rather than hitting the party scene.

The broadcaster’s criticism comes at a difficult time for the Real Madrid team following the shock departure of former coach Xabi Alonso.

The former Madrid icon lasted only a few months on the bench at the Bernabeu, amid a cloud of speculation that he had lost key players, including Vinicius Jr., in the dressing room.

YouTuber AuronPlay said he believed Bellingham's dip in form was due to him rarely leaving Spanish nightclubs.

Another former Real Madrid star, Alvaro Arbeloa, was also appointed to the club, but his reign began on the worst possible footing, with the team being eliminated from the Copa del Rey by second division team Albacete.

Real Madrid managed to keep up with their rivals Barcelona in LaLiga and was just one point behind the league leaders.

However, Bellingham had an uneven season after initially being sidelined with a shoulder injury.

Bellingham has scored six goals and registered a further four assists in all competitions since returning to action at the end of September.
