T.N. government will take steps to resolve issues related to broiler chicken production: Minister

The Tamil Nadu government will take measures to resolve issues related to broiler production and address concerns raised by poultry farm owners across the state, Animal Husbandry Minister Anitha R. Radhakrishnan said in the Assembly on Friday, January 23, 2026.

The Minister also pointed out that the State government has constituted a high-level technical committee to look into these issues. Mr. Radhakrishnan was responding to a special call for attention put forward by various political parties in the Assembly.

Tiruchengodu MLA ER Eswaran, Manapparai MLA P. Abdul Samad, Mettupalayam MLA AK Selvaraj, Salem West MLA R. Arul, Killiyoor MLA S. Rajesh Kumar, Kilvelur MLA Vice Chairman Nagaimaali, Thalli MLA T. Ramachandran and Sattur MLA ARR Raguraman spoke in the Assembly and highlighted the challenges faced by poultry farm owners and workers in the state.
