Is unfollowing a partner now a real breakup signal?
It’s been just over a week since Olivia admitted that she and Bradley were living ‘like ships passing in the night.’
The TV personality appeared on This Morning to chat about her show Getting Filthy Rich.
Olivia explained what viewers can expect from the show but then the conversation turned to Olivia’s marriage, with Ben Shepherd saying at the end of the interview: ‘Did you say you wanted to try to be a better wife this year? New year’s resolution?’
He replied: ‘Yes, I said this on Alan Carr’s podcast. I said this jokingly and now people keep bringing it up, I feel like I’m going to be held accountable. I don’t like being held responsible.
‘I think we were very honest last year, we were like ships in the night, working smart. Everything else, I’d like to give him an easier time this year if I can.’
Olivia and her footballer husband Bradley have been dogged by rumors of marital problems for the past year.
Olivia revealed her resolutions for next year and admitted she wants to be a ‘better wife’ but insisted she won’t stop partying.
We talk to Alan Carr and Lee Peart in Bottoms Up! In the podcast broadcast on New Year’s Eve, Olivia said: ‘I’d like to be softer this year. If only people could be less annoying in 2026, stop being stupid.
‘I would like to be a better wife, but I don’t think that will happen. How could I be worse?’
He continued: ‘My New Year’s resolution is… yes I would like to be softer. ‘I was going to say I wanted to party less, but I changed my mind about that.’
When asked if he would slow down his studies, he said: ‘No, geez. ‘I love money, you know what I mean?’
Just nine days before news of their split emerged, Olivia and Bradley were photographed at the premiere of ITV series Getting Filthy Rich.
At the end of last year she and Bradley sold their £1 million mansion in Cheshire to move full-time to their London flat.
The couple had been splitting their time between their flat in London and their home in Cheshire for over a year, and it wasn’t easy for either of them.
Bradley’s commitment to Gillingham means he has a busy training schedule and a full fixture list with games across the country and at home in Kent.
Olivia said of the move in September: ‘The house will be on the market very soon. I actually had a flat in London that I just used as a base for shooting. That’s what was supposed to happen, but we live here now.’
He told The Sun: ‘This is our family home in Cheshire but we’re not there. So, we’re humming and ahhing because we’re both kind of emotionally holding on to that house. We love him very much. ‘It’s just that Cheshire doesn’t work for us anymore because we’re not there.’
Olivia recently admitted to fans that a lot has changed in her relationship with Bradley, insisting that ‘marriage is hard’.
During an Instagram Q&A, she responded to a fan asking her where Bradley was after he was noticeably absent from social media.
He replied: ‘I swear he is alive. He has been with us for 10 years. A lot has changed. Marriage is so hard (no one wants to say that part out loud) and I’m not a fraud… I don’t post photos if they don’t reflect our reality.
‘We are doing our part and if there are any further updates you will be the first to know.’
In a candid chat with the Daily Mail in November, Olivia admitted she understood why the footballer was ‘upset’ when she saw photos of him getting cozy with pal Pete Wicks in Ibiza over the summer.
Olivia also reiterated that her relationship with Bradley ‘isn’t perfect’ but insisted they are still very much together.
He also added that he and Pete are just good friends and co-workers.
He said: ‘Me and Brad never pretend like we have a perfect relationship; We’ve been up, down, left, back, and the last six months have been really challenging for us.
‘My job and his job come first; We always have to navigate our relationship.’
Olivia and Bradley started dating before appearing on Love Island in 2017; Bradley has since admitted that he joined there as revenge for his infidelity.
But they reunited in 2018 and got engaged the following year, and went on to film a reality series for ITV2 called Olivia Meets Her Match, which included a special on their 2023 wedding.
He has since become one of ITV’s biggest presenters with a string of realistic dramas including Bad Boyfriends and Getting Filthy Rich.
