Trump slaps new tariffs on Sri Lanka, Iraq, 5 other countries with a warning: ‘If you raise your…’ – The Economic Times Video

On Wednesday, US President Donald Trump, Algeria, Brunei, Iraq, Libya, Moldova, Sri Lanka and the Philippines announced a new tariff tour targeting seven countries. Trump led the social media platform to Social to share the official tariff letters sent directly to the heads of state. The most upright tariffs were taken from Iraq, Algeria and Libya with 30%. These tariffs will enter into force as of August 1st. This move comes only one day after Trump offers a comprehensive import tariffs of up to 40% for goods from 14 countries, including key trade players such as Bangladesh, Japan and South Korea. The US President seems to increase his challenging stance on commercially as part of his wider economic agenda.
