Police detain rowdy sheeter Sreenivas Gowda under Goonda Act

Continuing its crackdown against habitual criminals and organized crime, the Bengaluru City Police arrested notorious rowdy Srinivas Gowda alias ‘Cool Seena’ (26), operating from Hanumanthanagar Police Station limits, under the Goonda Act and lodged him in Ballari Central Jail.

According to the police, Srinivas Gowda was a criminal involved in multiple criminal activities and was known for disturbing the peace and tranquility of the public. The arrest was made by the Organized Crime Squad (East) of the Central Crime Branch (CCB) on Wednesday as part of preventive measures to maintain law and order in the city.

As part of the ongoing fight against rowdy elements, 110 rowdies have been removed from city limits so far in 2026, police said. Additionally, action was taken against 34 members of five organized crime gangs under the Karnataka Control of Organized Crime Act (KCOCA), 2000.
