Boy, 15, arrested for attempted murder after armed attack on school teacher

A 15-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a teacher was injured at the school, police said.
Emergency services were called to Milford Haven Comprehensive School in Pembrokeshire, south-west Wales, at around 3.20pm on Thursday. The school was initially placed on lockdown, but has since been lifted, according to police.
Dyfed-Powys Police said a teacher was reported to have been attacked by a student brandishing a gun. Officers added that the teacher’s wound was not caused by a stabbing and they received medical treatment for the injury.
The exact nature of the injury is not yet clear.
Police said a 15-year-old boy who was arrested remains in police custody.
Superintendent Chris Neve said: “We can confirm police were at Milford Haven Comprehensive School following reports of a student brandishing a gun attacking a teacher at the school at around 3.20pm.
“The teacher’s injury is not a stab wound. Isolation was imposed but has now been lifted.
“The teacher is receiving treatment for his injuries.
“All students at the scene are safe and most have gone home. Officers remain at the school.
“A 15-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and is in police custody.”
