Woman hit by truck pulling Mardi Gras float at Shreveport Centaur Parade

during Centaur Parade On Saturday, February 7, a woman was hit by a pickup truck pulling a Mardi Gras float.
According to the Shreveport Police Department, the 24-year-old woman suffered injuries to her lower extremity following the incident. Police also stated that they do not suspect any wrongdoing by the driver at this time.
The incident occurred around 6 p.m. near Shreveport-Barksdale Highway and East Kings Highway. The injured woman was taken to a nearby hospital and is expected to recover.

Police said this incident is under investigation.
