Emergency dispatch audio reviewed by Fox News Digital records an emergency response Saturday night at Senator Lindsey Graham’s Washington, D.C. home and reveals that first responders were dispatched to report a heart attack before the senator’s office announced his death Sunday morning.

District of Columbia Fire and EMS radio traffic indicates that first responders arrived shortly after 8 p.m. local time, when responders were dispatched to Graham’s home for a report of a heart attack.

As units responded, dispatchers reported that the caller reported that the front door was unlocked. But after arriving and noticing the door was locked and there was no response from inside, first responders asked Metropolitan Police Department officers to respond to the break-in.

Approximately 20 to 25 minutes after the initial dispatch, radio traffic indicated CPR was in progress as emergency crews worked inside the home. The audio recording does not identify Graham by name or describe the patient’s condition.

Officials were heard saying in other radio traffic that the incident would be treated as a “Capitol Police matter only.” The last relevant radio traffic arrived shortly after 9:30 p.m.
