Final electoral roll published in Kerala; total voters stand at 2.69 crore after revision

Thiruvananthapuram, ECI on Saturday released the latest electoral roll in Kerala after the SIR implementation and the total number of voters in the state was over 2.69 crore.

The Election Commission of India (ECI) has shared a link (http://electoralsearch.eci.gov.in) that allows the public to check their names in the updated list.

According to data released at the ECI’s press conference here on Friday, there are 2,69,53,644 voters in the new voter roll compared to 2,78,50,855 voters before the SIR started in October last year.

The ECI said as many as 8,97,211 voters were removed after the exercise of Special Intensive Revision (SIR).

Officials said that in the revised list, the total number of male voters is 1,31,26,048, the number of female voters is 1,38,27,319 and the number of transgender voters is 277.


In the updated list, the number of overseas voters was 2 million 23 thousand 558, and the number of service voters was 54 thousand 110.
ECI officials said 36.88 lakh voters were notified for hearing under SIR proceedings and 53,229 voters were removed from the final list. Meanwhile, there were 2,86,07,658 voters in the State Election Commission’s voter list for the 2025 local body elections.

An additional 4,01,368 applications for correction, inclusion and deletion were received between January 31 and February 16, the ECI said.

ECI said aggrieved voters can approach them after the final list is announced for addition or deletion. Additionally, the final list will be forwarded to political parties for verification purposes.

Officials added that names can be added to the voter registry until the last day of candidacy applications for parliamentary elections.
