Jeff Lynne cancels final live show over health concerns | Music

Electric Light Orchestra (ELO) front man Jeff Lynne, due to bad health due to the latest performance canceled the bills.

Lynne would appear in the BST Hyde Park Festival series on Sunday night, and 55 years after the establishment of the group, the group’s farewell “over and out” tour would close.

The spokesman for concerts said it was “systemic infection .. They added that Lynne could not be planned again.

The decision comes days after the 77 -year -old child gave a concert in Manchester shortly before he was planned to be on stage.

A week ago, he appeared on the stage in Birmingham sending a country, but he could not play the trademark guitar because of a broken wrist suffering during a taxi accident in London.

A statement made by BST Hyde Park said: “Jeff Lynne has broken heart to inform tomorrow that tomorrow cannot perform on the BST Hyde parking show.

“Jeff is struggling with a systemic infection, and in the care of a doctor’s team who advises him that it is not possible or re -planned to perform performance at the moment.

“The band’s legacy and for a long time, fans are very upset that Jeff is very upset that he cannot perform in the minds of Jeff today, but he now knows that he should focus on his health and rehabilitation at the moment.”

Lynne had previously described the Hyde Park concert with Brummie Steve Winwood and US rock band Doobie Brothers, as a suitable way to end her career.

In 2014, he started to take a tour with a concert at the Park in the center of London.

Lynne said: “It seems the perfect place to do our last show. We were not more excited to share this special night in London with our UK fans.”

If he did not play again in front of the live viewers, he would end a career who received 1 album with ELO he founded in 1970 with drummer Bevan and vocalist Roy Wood.

Apart from a short return in 2001, Lynne did not play with ELO until 2014, and re -branded the group member Pianist Richard Tandy as the Group Jeff Lynne’s electric light orchestra.

Tandy died in 2024, and the last original member of the Lynne group still continued as part of the group.
