Telangana IAS transfers Feb 2026 | Major reshuffle across key departments and district collector posts

In a major change, the Telangana government has deputed several Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers across key departments and districts. Among the most significant changes is the transfer of Sanjay Kumar from the Information Technology and Industries department to take charge as Special Chief Secretary of the Panchayat Raj and Rural Development department, replacing N. Sridhar.

And Mr. Sridhar has been appointed as Secretary, Department of Information Technology and Industries, pursuant to the order dated February 25, 2026. He will continue to bear full additional charge (FAC) as Principal Secretary, Mines and Geology.

Another significant change was the transfer of Rahul Bojja from the Irrigation and Command Area Development department and his appointment as Principal Secretary (Political) of the General Administrative Department and also his placement in the FAC as the Principal Secretary of the BC Welfare Department. E. Sridhar has been appointed as Secretary, Irrigation and CAD Department, replacing Mr. Bojja.

Finance, Planning departments and Delhi posting

Sabyasachi Ghosh has been reappointed as Special Principal Secretary for Implementation of Flagship Welfare and Development Plans and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).

Following the transfer of Arvind Kumar, M. Dana Kishore was given full additional pay (FAC) as Special Principal Secretary (Disaster Management), Revenue Department.

Gaurav Uppal was shifted from Telangana Bhavan, New Delhi to serve as Secretary, Department of Finance and Planning and Deputy Chairman FAC in TGRAC and also posted FAC as General Manager TGMSIDC. Adwait Kumar Singh has been appointed as Special Secretary (Coordination-GoI Projects and CSS) at Telangana Bhavan, New Delhi.

While Jitesh V. Patil has been appointed as the Chairman and Managing Director of TGSPDCL, Md. Musharraf Ali Faruqui has been appointed as the third DISCOM (New) CMD. Yadadri Collector M. Hanumantha Rao has been appointed as Director of Endowments with FAC Special Officer Godavari Pushkaralu. Pamela Satpathy has been appointed Special Commissioner of the Labor Party.

District Collectors withdrawn

The change involved a large-scale transfer of district collectors. Chitra Mishra appointed as Collector in Karimnagar; Deepak Tewari as Collector, Vikarabad; Ankit, Bhadradri Kothagudem as Collector; Chahat Bajpai, Hanamkonda as Collector (also holding FAC as GWMC Commissioner); Khushboo Gupta as Collector Mahabubnagar; Garima Agrawal, Rajanna Sircilla as the collector; Prateek Jain as Collector, Narayanpet and Rizwanbasha Shaik as Collector, Jogulamba Gadwal.

While various IAS and SCS officers have been posted as Additional Collectors (Local Bodies) across districts, Manda Makarandu and Parmar Pinkeshkumar Lalitkumar have been appointed as District Commissioners in GHMC. Changes were also ordered in Prajavani, BC Welfare institutions and cooperative departments
