Democrats attend ‘State of Swamp’ with alleged Antifa frog brigade

NEWYou can now listen to Fox News articles!

As President Donald Trump delivered his State of the Union address on Tuesday, most congressional Democrats skipped it and joined a counter-program called “State of the Swamp,” headlined by Robert DeNiro. One group celebrated there, the “Portland Frog Brigade,” are literally Antifa thugs wearing cute outfits.

By now you’ve probably seen these large inflatable frogs, if not from clips of Tuesday’s mindless anti-Trump party, then at protests at Portland, then Chicago, Minneapolis, and ICE facilities across the country.

Members of the Portland Frog Brigade gathered at the Hart Senate Office Building on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, to deliver copies of the U.S. Constitution to members of Congress ahead of the evening’s State of the Union address.

If you watch the news about these so-called cute amphibians, even in most conservative publications they are treated not as dangerous thugs but as silly but harmless dress-up activists. And that’s the whole point: It’s not a costume, it’s a tactical uniform.

The standard inflatable frog costume serves two primary purposes: First, it conceals the identity of the mixer. Second, and more importantly, it makes the instigator appear to be the opposite of a physical threat.

How do I know all this about the frog brigade? I witnessed it all begin in Portland last October and even had a brief altercation with one of the Antifa leaders who popularized this crazy trend.

Here’s how I described the Portland Antifa agitators, including the original frogman, who harassed and trapped a pro-Trump woman in her car at an Immigration Customs and Enforcement facility there:

“His car was completely filled with masked Antifa losers, one of whom was wearing a giant frog costume. Women screamed at him as the soy-boy traitors berated him in derogatory terms. Even though his car was kicked over and over, it was clear that the three police officers standing there weren’t going to do anything, so I walked up to him, tapped him on the shoulder, and said, ‘You should probably go.’ Helena replied, a little panicked: ‘I want to, but they won’t let me.’ I looked at my captors and said firmly: ‘He wants to go; “Let him go,” I said, and as I helped him to his feet without hitting anyone, it was the frogman who shouted “Let him go” before anyone else.”

DHS Releases Anti-Ice Dems of Man Arrested With ‘Disturbing’ Manifesto Allegedly Plotting to Kill Agents

According to intrepid reporter Andy Ngo, who knows more about Antifa than Vin Scully knows about the L.A. Dodgers, the person who started the frog costume game is a known agitator who was arrested in January to protest the arrest of suspected Tren de Aragua gang members in Portland.

Members of the Portland Frog Brigade gathered on Tuesday, February 24, 2026 at Sen. Visited Chuck Grassley's office in the Hart Senate Office Building. The Frogs were delivering copies of the U.S. Constitution to members of Congress ahead of the evening's State of the Union address.

By then the frog costume had taken off like a biblical plague. Frogs were suddenly everywhere, but why?

Antifa and its allies realized that the childish absurdity of the costume made a laughing stock of anyone who claimed that those wearing them were some kind of serious threat. Just writing this column feels that way, but in this case the truth is crucial.

ICE ATTACKS INCREASED 1,500% AS DEMS DRAW ‘HARD RED LINE’ TO UNMASK AGENTS IN DHS WAR

In addition to the many Antifa frogs lauded in the Democratic party, there was a man dressed in a giraffe suit, writing slam poetry, proudly declaring and applauding that he had been detained in ICE facilities three times for agitation.

Again, the cute Sesame Street-style furry costume is meant to make claims that this lunatic is a dangerous criminal seem ridiculous, even though he openly admits to being arrested while trying to protect foreign gang members from deportation.

It’s possible that many Democratic elected officials don’t actually know that these frogmen are Antifa, but Sen. Ron Wyden and Rep. Maxine Dexter, both Democrats from Oregon, certainly should know because their constituents started the whole thing.

‘DIGITAL MINUTEMS’ AGAINST ICE AND MILITARY-GRADE SURVEILLANCE TACTICS AGAINST THE FEDs

Let’s not forget that the Democrats told us a few years ago that Antifa didn’t even exist. In fact, Rep. Gerry Nadler DY called the group a “myth,” and Biden FBI Director Christopher Wray called it an “ideology,” not an organization. How times have changed.

Last month, The Nation magazine, which knows a thing or two about the Left, published an article with the headline: “Liberals Think Antifa Isn’t Real. But It Is, and It Knows How to Win.”

Now that the Trump administration has labeled Antifa a terrorist organization and The Nation has declared it a powerful group in the progressive struggle, cowardly communists have begun ditching their menacing black-and-black outfits for silly animal costumes.

But make no mistake, at night, costumes emerge from the shadows and thugs with gas masks and sticks emerge to threaten our federal agents.

This is what ignorant and myopic politicians and celebrities celebrated on their counter-programs on Tuesday. They will support literally anything that opposes Trump, even adult men in frog costumes approaching women at so-called political protests.

So next time you see one of those frogs, don’t be fooled. Don’t fall for the ridiculous shenanigans. As Democrats applaud them, know that these are anti-American thugs who regularly resort to violence to overthrow the United States.
