American supercarrier leaves Greek dock for Middle East waters

The world’s largest aircraft carrier, USS Gerald R. Ford, left the American naval base in southern Greece on Thursday after a brief multi-day stopover en route to the Middle East. The USA deployed many warships and aircraft to the region as tensions with Iran increased.
