Prince Harry’s telling comment about disgraced Andrew goes viral | Royal | News

Andrew was detained for 11 hours before being released under investigation. This comes after the latest installment of the Jeffrey Epstein files revealed various embarrassing revelations about his connections with the convicted pedophile.
In a section about how he and Meghan decided to leave the UK for a new life in the US, Harry writes: “We were taking the first steps, trying to be positive. We said it didn’t really matter where we lived, as long as the palace lived up to its obligation to keep us safe – and that was, I think, its implicit promise.”
“Meg asked me one night: You don’t think they’ll ever take away our security, do you? Never. Not in this climate of hatred. And not after what happened to my mother.”
Harry adds: “Also, not after Uncle Andrew. He was embroiled in an embarrassing scandal, accused of sexually assaulting a young woman, and no one suggested he should lose his safety. Whatever complaints people had against us, sex crimes were not on the list.”

Just because he is named in the Epstein files does not mean there was any wrongdoing, and Andrew has always denied wrongdoing.
Following Tuesday’s parliamentary debate, MPs were told the Government cannot release material police need for their investigations until officers are “satisfied”.
