China hawks continue to pursue anti-productivity agenda

Unsurprisingly, Nine newspaper left the third anniversary of its “Red Alert” series about the war with China coming in three years unannounced. No apologies, no retreats, not even a valiant effort to justify the absurdity. A quiet hope that we have forgotten the scarecrows of journalists, editors and Sinophobic defense commentators who want to incite hysteria. We can only hope that journalistic standards at Nine will improve under new leadership, as Paul Keating suggested.
