Three killed in car-bus collision at Morayur in Malappuram

Three people were killed and two others were seriously injured when their car collided with a bus near Morayur on Thursday. The identities of the dead were stated as 42-year-old Sakeena, 19-year-old Fasila and 23-year-old Shiyas.

While Shiyas was at the wheel, the car lost control and collided head-on with a bus coming from Palakkad. They were returning from Calicut airport.

The car suffered major damage in the accident. Although Sakeena and Fasila were rushed to a private hospital in Kondotty, they could not be saved. Shiyas was admitted to the Government Medical College Hospital in Manjeri. But he died soon after.

The other two passengers in the vehicle, Afreeda and Ibrahim, were taken to Kozhikode Government Medical College Hospital with serious injuries.
