Petrol prices: Perth fuel set to spike on Sunday amid Middle East war chaos

Petrol prices will reach a new peak on Sunday and the average price of unleaded fuel will rise in Western Australia.
Unleaded prices across the Perth metropolitan area are expected to range between 212.0¢ and 259.9c¢ per litre, with the overall trend remaining upward.
The average price of unleaded fuel in the metro area will rise only slightly to 228.7 cents per liter on Sunday, from 228.6 cents on Saturday, according to FuelWatch.
Most major fuel retailers are increasing prices – BP is forecast to record the highest average at 231.1 cents per litre, followed by Caltex at 230.6 cents and 7-Eleven at 229.8 cents.
Ampol’s average price is expected to remain stable at 225.8¢, while Vibe is the only brand expected to register a slight decrease, falling to 226.7¢.
Among fuel types, diesel again rises from 265.8 cents per liter to 262.8 cents; Brand diesel is in trouble again, with an increase of 3.8 cents to 272.2 cents per liter.
The price of premium unleaded is also expected to rise to 244.4¢ per litre, while LPG, 98 RON and E85 are expected to remain unchanged.
Drivers in the area will also see higher prices – average ULP prices are expected to reach 232.1¢ in Albany tomorrow, 226.0¢ in Bunbury and Busselton, 231.9¢ in Esperance and 231.1¢ in Geraldton.
Prices are even higher in the north; Karratha averages 231.0¢, while Port Hedland and South Hedland reach 243.3¢ per litre.
