Domestic Gas Cylinders Supply More Over Commercial

BENGALUR: The supply of domestic gas cylinders exceeded the number of commercial gas cylinders in Karnataka on Saturday. While 386,363 domestic cylinders were delivered during the day, commercial cylinder gas deliveries were 6,371.
As per the Union Government’s guidelines, 20 per cent of commercial cylinders will be distributed on priority basis to hospitals, schools, educational institutions, canteens at airports, railway stations, bus stations, nursing homes and others.
In their statement, Bengaluru Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs officials confirmed that there was no shortage of domestic gas cylinders and their supply in the state would not be affected.
Meanwhile, Food and Civil Supplies officials seized as many as 209 domestic gas cylinders used for commercial use in Bengaluru’s Chikkajala, 46 in Yadgir, 45 in Bengaluru’s Peenya and 13 in Davangere.
An illegally operating gas filling center has been booked in the Kolar Gold Fields of Kolar district. Cases were filed in all cases seized by the Food and Civil Supplies authorities.
