Regime change written on the wall in Bengal: PM Modi

Kolkata: Asserting that regime change is already written on the walls and in people’s minds, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday accused the “tyrannical” Trinamool Congress government of disrespecting President Droupadi Murmu during his recent visit to West Bengal. He said that the ruling party had insulted not only the President but also the Constitution, BR Ambedkar, women and the tribal community and the people of Bengal would give a befitting response.

At the Brigade rally in Kolkata, Modi said, “The President represents the Adivasi community. The Trinamool government insulted him and did not accept him despite being in the highest office. The President, known for his simplicity, was forced to express his grievance.” he said.

Modi said infiltrators pose the biggest threat to Bengal’s “roti, beti and maati”. “Invaders are grabbing jobs and land from the youth, leading to demographic changes in Bengal. Bengali Hindus are being turned into a minority while appeasement policies are being implemented by the current government. Trinamool has opposed granting citizenship to Hindu refugees due to vote bank politics,” he said.

Claiming that the countdown for change has begun, Modi said that when the BJP comes to power, “all criminals, spies and those indulging in appeasement policies will be behind bars.” “The Trinamool and the perpetrators will have to pay for every crime committed,” he said.
The Prime Minister also inaugurated projects worth ₹18,600 crore. “Four days ago, the Cabinet approved multi-line railway projects that will improve connectivity in Bengal and benefit farmers, businessmen and youth. Bengal’s youth are talented and hard-working…” he said.
