Floor collapses at New Hampshire wedding venue, injuring 6 people

At least six people were reportedly injured when the floor collapsed at a wedding venue in New Hampshire on Saturday.

The New Hampshire State Fire Marshal confirmed that it responded to The Preserve at Chocorua in Tamworth to investigate a reported floor collapse.

Officials confirmed that six people with non-life-threatening injuries were taken to area hospitals.

There were no deaths, according to the fire chief’s office.

According to a statement from the Tamworth Police Department, a large number of fire crews responded to the scene and the road leading to the scene was temporarily closed.

A spokesperson for Maine Health told the local outlet WMUR It was stated that the hospital accepted three patients by ambulance and the other injured were taken to other facilities.

It is unclear what caused the alleged collapse.

The state fire marshal’s office led the investigation, which is still active and ongoing.

The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office, New Hampshire State Police, Tamworth Fire Department, Tamworth Police Department and Maine Health did not immediately respond to additional questions from Fox News Digital.

City Moose Catering, which said it worked at the venue, said it was “truly shaken by this incident.”[e] tragedy.”

“Our thoughts are with everyone at The Preserve at Chocorua for today’s event,” the company said. Facebook post. “We are deeply saddened by the news of the ground collapse and ongoing mass casualty incident. … We are aware of all those impacted and the first responders still working at the scene.”

The Preserve in Chocorua did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.
