The one senior royal missing from Princess Eugenie’s wedding | Royal | News

The then-Queen Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, missed Princess Eugenie’s wedding to Jack Brooksbank in October 2018 due to a long-standing commitment to attend a school harvest festival in Scotland. He reportedly did not want to disappoint local community members and school children who were waiting for him.

According to royal author Angela Levin, Camilla thought Charles’ brother Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor “could have done more” to support her and Charles as a couple at a time when public opinion was strongly against their relationship following the tragic death of Princess Diana.

In his book ‘Camilla: From Outcast To Queen Consort’, Andrew describes the late Queen Consort as the Queen Consort. He claimed Elizabeth went so far as to make him cancel the couple’s 2005 wedding.

“Her behavior has become very, very negative and extremely unpleasant because she’s not getting what she wants,” writes Angela Levin, a source claimed, adding that Andrew thinks Camilla is “not aristocratic enough and can’t be trusted.”

They added that Andrew “was so hostile about Camilla’s admission that it’s doubtful he’s ever been forgiven.”

As the relationship soured over the years, cracks began to appear when Eugenie did not attend his wedding to Jack at St George’s Chapel in Windsor on October 12, 2018, just months after Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding.

As Eugenie’s parents Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and Sarah Ferguson’s friendship with convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein continues to be revealed, Queen Camilla has been busy working to raise awareness of the sexual violence women face.

Speaking as president of the Women of the World group at St James’s Palace in London on International Women’s Day, Camilla boldly declared “We stand with you” and delivered a powerful speech in defense of victims and survivors of violence and abuse.

To viewers, this was likely seen as a thinly veiled reference supporting the victims of Jeffrey Epstein and the alleged role of his brother-in-law Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.

His name being mentioned in the Epstein files is not a sign of wrongdoing, and Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has denied the charges against him.
