During the session, observers issued clear instructions to Returning Officers and Deputy Returning Officers, emphasizing the need for absolute precision in following all legal and procedural formalities. They pointed out that active support and coordination of Nodal Officers is essential to ensure that the entire election process remains transparent, fair and free from inconsistencies.
The meeting served as a platform to facilitate communication between various departments involved in the election machinery.
Maximum participation
Emphasizing the democratic importance of the event, observers reminded the authorities that the ultimate goal is to make the democracy festival meaningful by encouraging maximum voter participation. They called on the administration to implement strategies that will bring as many people as possible to voting booths.
A panel of election observers including S. Honnamba, Deepak Anand, Kuldeep Chaudhary, KA Dayananda, Anuradha Solanki, Jyotsna Devi and Bhadane Sachin Gulabrao attended the meeting.

Along with the general election, authorities also conducted a random selection process to staff pink polling stations run exclusively by female officials. Additionally, the first phase of random selection for micro-observers, who will be placed in particularly sensitive or vulnerable cabins to ensure higher security and transparency, was also completed in this session.
Women’s participation
A total of 13 pink voting stations will be established in the district to encourage women’s participation. Among these, Karunagappally constituency will have three such polling stations, while all other constituencies in the district will have one pink polling station each. These stands were designed to provide a supportive environment for female voters and highlight the important role of women in the electoral process.
Following the issuance of mandates to the elected officials, the second phase of random selection to determine their specific assignments will take place on March 29. The final and third phase of random selection, which will assign each official to a designated voting booth, is scheduled for April 7.
