Jason Momoa evacuates Oahu home amid historic Hawaii flooding

Jason Momoa was forced to evacuate O’ahu’s North Shore with his family following historic flooding that devastated the area.
The Aquaman actor revealed on social media that his family fled their home after a power outage due to seasonal hurricanes.
“We’re safe for now, but there are a lot of people who aren’t, so we’re sending all our love,” Momoa told his followers on Instagram. he said.

“The North Shore is pretty gnarly right now. I hope everyone is staying safe and getting out. Stay safe out there.”
Despite the temporary relocation, Momoa held a massive rally on behalf of his community.
“The past weeks have been heavy,” he wrote online. “The storms, flooding, and persistent rain on Oʻahu have impacted so many of our people, especially those already facing hardships. Seeing families displaced, communities struggling, and our homeless neighbors hit the hardest.”

Momoa, along with his girlfriend Adria Arjona, “spread aloha” to locals after the flood and handed out more than 200 plates of food.
“We spent time on the west side just trying to show love, bring some food, and remind our community that we see you, we’re here for you, and you’re not alone,” Momoa wrote.

More than 2,000 people were left without power in Hawaii on Sunday after heavy rains caused the worst flooding in more than 20 years.
The storm prompted an evacuation order for 5,500 people north of Honolulu.
No deaths were reported and more than 200 people were rescued from the waters.

Gov. Josh Green said the state was “still in that situation” Saturday, with a “statewide flood watch” in effect through the weekend after issuing an evacuation order for Waialua and Hale’iwa a day earlier.

“Conditions remain hazardous as the ground is already saturated, meaning much less rain will be required for flooding, road closures and damage,” Green said. Shared on X.
The governor said damage could exceed $1 billion, with damage to airports, roads, homes and a Maui hospital.
