Passenger films moment Frontier Airlines removes her from flight as stories clash

A deaf woman is taking over Frontier Airlines after accusing flight staff of kicking her off the plane for not listening to instructions. Earlier this month, the law student and TikToker posted a video showing parts of the incident in which a flight attendant and the gate attendant argued over whether she should stay or go.

Frontier contradicted its own version of these events.

Deaf woman says she was punished for not listening

On March 12, Ashley Gray (@legallyswiftie13) posted a video Border the staff appear to be arguing with each other about whether he deserves to be kicked off the flight. The young woman cried in shame and disappointment as her angry mother repeatedly pointed out her disability.

The beginning of the clip reads, “Frontier Airlines kicked me off the flight because I was deaf.” “What’s the point of saying you’re deaf on your ticket when Frontier denies you accommodation?”

Grey’s mother told the patient gate attendant that his ticket contained a warning that he was deaf. Other passengers claimed that Gray could not hear the flight attendant’s instructions, so the staff wanted to move him away. The TikToker argues that this is the reason for the conflict.

The doorman appeared to be trying to act as Gray’s advocate, but he told a bystander, “This is out of my control.”

According to the headline, “the flight crew doubled down” and insisted he be removed. Gray tearfully assured them he would go, but was upset that other passengers might think he had broken the rules.

“This is so embarrassing,” he says. “I didn’t do anything wrong.”

“Being deaf sucks.”

Meanwhile, her mother was furious on her daughter’s behalf.

“I’m so angry I can’t stand,” he said.

Currently a class action lawsuit A lawsuit is ongoing against Frontier for allegedly discriminating against disabled passengers.

Frontier tells another story

gave a limit PEOPLE A very different reason to remove Gray from the flight. The company supports the flight attendant who claimed she “boarded the plane with an open container, which the passenger admitted to containing alcohol when questioned” and then “quickly consumed the remaining alcohol in the glass before handing it over.”

“Bringing an open bottle of alcohol aboard violates both Border policy and federal law.”

Frontier also claimed there was no indication on Grey’s ticket that he was disabled. The TikToker and her lawyer say the flight attendant was lying, and Gray can be heard saying the same thing about the staff member in the video.

“Frontier had to choose between liability and assault,” attorney Andrew Rozynski said in a press release. “He chose to go to the national media with a made-up alcohol story that every witness and video contradicted, and to publicly deny a disability that his own booking system and his own doorman had already confirmed.”

Gray and his attorney asked Frontier to retract its version of the incident and apologize by March 20. This date came and went without any explanation from the airline.

tiktok commentators widely sided with Gray and advised him to take legal action. After the video went viral on Reddit, some questioned Frontier’s story, citing similar stories except for the removal.

Reading Reddit comments "Something similar happened to me. I once got on a plane carrying beer because I was inexperienced and walked past everyone without even bothering to hide it. After the plane door was closed, the flight attendant came directly to me and told me that I was violating federal law and making quite a stink. I apologized and handed him the beer and it was all over. It could have been mentioned by any of the 5 employees I passed before boarding the plane or taking my seat. I guess they don't tell you this upfront so you don't get confused and then they have to deal with the consequences after you get stuck on the plane..."

“After the plane door was closed, the flight attendant came right up to me and told me I was violating federal law and making a pretty bad smell. I apologized and handed over the beer, and that was the end of it.”

Reading Reddit comments "Yes, this seems strange to me. It's like they stopped him getting on the plane because the container was open... and then waited until later to let him board and tell him to leave? The order of events seems out of order."
