Storm Dave LIVE: Met Office forecasts snow in 7 areas amid Easter weekend 2026 warnings | Weather | News

Deputy Chief Forecaster Tom Crabtree said: “Storm Dave will form and deepen rapidly as it approaches the UK from the west on Saturday.
“Winds will strengthen significantly on Saturday afternoon, with gusts of 60-70mph expected at times in some parts of Scotland, with winds of 80-90mph potentially expected in exposed coastal areas of Scotland. Winds of 50-60mph are likely to be more common across northern Britain.
“As well as strong winds, Storm Dave will also bring heavy snowfall to the hills in northern Scotland, where up to 10-20cm of snow could accumulate.
“Together with strong winds this will lead to blizzard conditions. Elsewhere there will be heavy rain as the system moves eastwards across the UK.
“With Storm Dave just days away, people should prepare their properties for strong winds and monitor the latest weather forecasts as weather alerts are likely to be updated.”2
