Team Innovation Refutes Claims Over Karan Aujla Concert Cancellations
Mumbai: Event organizers Team Innovation have strongly denied media reports that the cancellation of Punjabi singer Karan Aujla’s concerts in Lucknow and Ludhiana was due to backlash or mismanagement.
In an official statement, Siddhesh Kudtarkar, Founder of Team Innovation, termed such reports as “misleading, incomplete and factually incorrect” and claimed that they were aimed at tarnishing the reputation of the stakeholders involved.
Organizers explained that the decision to cancel the shows was taken after considering regulatory and operational constraints, particularly the lack of mandatory liquor permits by local authorities. They noted that such permits are essential for many aspects of running the event, including hospitality services, premium audience experiences and sponsor commitments.
According to the statement, the absence of these approvals would significantly impact the event ecosystem, impacting both commercial sustainability and audience experience.
Team Innovation also emphasized that the decision was made proactively to ensure audience safety and prevent last-minute disruptions, especially in light of recent events involving regulatory challenges in the live entertainment industry.
Promoters denied any connection between the cancellations and allegations of backlash from previous concerts, calling such claims “unfounded, misleading and defamatory”.
The company reiterated its commitment to maintaining high standards of security, compliance and viewer experience and called on media platforms to exercise greater responsibility and due diligence in reporting.
