Beauty brand to open 10 UK stores in 2026 | UK | News

Britain’s high streets are set to welcome a growing beauty brand expanding to 10 new locations this year. Hero Brands, owner of German Döner Kebab and restaurant chain Sides, is stepping into the beauty industry with a new partnership with blow-dry specialist Duck & Dry, supporting the salon’s growth ambitions.
The latest development comes at a time when the industry is suffering from rising costs and changing consumer habits, with more and more shops closing on the high street. Companies continue to be ambitious in their expansion goals across sectors and around the world.
Duck & Dry has recently opened new salons at The Whiteley development in Notting Hill and John Lewis on Oxford Street, and is expected to continue expanding with an upcoming opening at Battersea Power Station.
According to the business, the deal with Hero Brands is designed to provide the necessary infrastructure and resources to accelerate this growth trajectory.
It is hoped that Duck & Dry will grow from a founder-led company to one that can expand both nationally and internationally.
The partnership also marks diversification for Hero Brands, which spans a variety of industries including media, licensing, lifestyle and food and beverage across more than 190 locations.
Entering the beauty industry will open the company to a completely new group of consumers.
Athif Sarwar, chairman of Hero Brands, said: “Beauty is a category where we have seen potential for a long time, and Duck & Dry is the perfect partner for Hero Brands to enter this space.”
He added: “Their creativity and cultural appeal aligns with our ambition to build the next generation of consumer brands. This move unlocks huge potential to transform Duck & Dry from a salon brand to a full consumer lifestyle experience.”
Yulia Rorstrom, Duck & Dry’s CEO and founder, called the deal a “big moment” for the company.
He said: “With Hero Brands behind us, we’re ready to bring Duck & Dry to more people in the UK and beyond.”
