UK Weather: warmest days of the year with 24C forecast

Strong winds blowing from the southeast on Tuesday and Wednesday will drag much warmer air from the European continent.
In early April, temperatures will be 6 to 10 degrees above average.
Temperatures on Tuesday will rise into the high teens and low twenties in most places.
Temperatures are expected to reach 22 degrees in the south Midlands and the west coast of Wales, making it the hottest day of the year so far.
The previous highest temperature this year was 20.9 degrees recorded in Pershore, Worcestershire, on 31 March.
Tuesday will be a mostly sunny day, particularly in England and Wales, but there will be clouds and a few showers in Northern Ireland and Western Scotland.
Temperatures will rise to 23C on Wednesday, perhaps even 24C in south-east England.
While the sunshine continues, temperatures will still be in the low twenties in England and Wales, so it will feel more like a typical summer’s day for most of us.
However, conditions will become slightly cooler in western Scotland, Northern Ireland and along the Irish Sea coast, with more clouds and rain arriving in the afternoon.
