Iran says Trump BREACHED ceasefire after president claimed victory as fresh bombing rocks the Middle East and Strait of Hormuz is closed
Iran accused the United States of violating the ceasefire agreement as Donald Trump insisted on maintaining the ceasefire, new explosions shook America’s Arab allies and Tehran declared the Strait of Hormuz closed.
Iranian parliament speaker Mohammad Bagher Galibaf accused the United States on Wednesday of violating three articles of the controversial ceasefire agreement.
He said that Israel’s attacks on Lebanon, drones violating Iranian airspace and the White House’s insistence that Tehran will not enrich uranium amount to a violation of the 10-point proposal signed by Trump.
“Now, the ‘viable basis on which to negotiate’ has been clearly and unambiguously violated even before negotiations began,” Ghalibaf said, quoting Trump on X. ‘In such a situation, a bilateral ceasefire or negotiations are illogical.’
In a briefing hours later, White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt disputed Iran’s version of the ceasefire terms and noted that Trump had never agreed to allow Iran to continue enriching uranium.
“The president’s red lines, namely ending Iran’s enrichment in Iran, have not changed, and the idea that President Trump would accept Iran’s wish list as a deal is completely ridiculous,” Leavitt said.
He also claimed that the Strait of Hormuz was open, even though Iranian media reported that the vital oil artery was closed in response to Israeli attacks on Lebanon, home of Tehran’s terror proxy Hezbollah.
“We saw the traffic in the Strait increase today,” Leavitt said, noting that there is a difference between what Iran says publicly and what it says privately.

President Donald Trump said Tuesday evening that Iran had reached an agreement to reopen the strait, though reports suggest the strait has not been fully opened.

According to the Financial Times, Saudi Arabia’s East-West oil pipeline, a critical artery that directs crude oil from the Gulf to the Red Sea, was attacked by a drone at 13:00 local time.
The country’s army stated that Kuwaiti air defense intercepted 28 UAVs in continuous attacks targeting oil facilities, power plants and water desalination infrastructure since 08:00 on Wednesday morning, adding that the attacks were still continuing.
There were also reports of explosions shaking Tehran; However, Leavitt declined to comment until he receives information from Trump’s national security team.
Iranian Parliament Speaker Galibaf claimed that the USA did not comply with the first article of the 10-article proposal regarding the ceasefire in Lebanon.
Beirut, the capital of Lebanon, was under intense bombardment by Israeli forces.
“Lebanon is not part of the ceasefire,” Leavitt said. ‘This concerns all parties participating in the ceasefire.’

Vice President J.D. Vance told reporters that the Israelis had assured US officials that they would ‘check them out’ in Lebanon.
‘This is not because it is part of the ceasefire. “I think the Israelis are trying to set us up for success, and of course we’ll see how that plays out in the next few days,” he said.
He also said he saw signs that the Bosphorus was starting to return to normal traffic.
The White House announced that Vance will travel to Islamabad, Pakistan, on Saturday for face-to-face meetings with Special Envoy Steve Witkoff and Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner.
Trump told ABC News on Wednesday morning that Iran is happy to charge ships for safe passage through the Strait of Hormuz.
‘We are considering doing this as a joint venture. “It’s a way to secure it, but also a way to secure it from a lot of other people,” he said.
“This is a beautiful thing,” he added.

“The government is still in place and we have to negotiate from a position of strength, not a good position for them,” he told CNN.
‘They will work with Russia and China as soon as possible to start rebuilding their militaries. And five, six, seven, eight years from now they will pose a threat. Therefore, there has been no complete victory as long as this government has been in office.’
Pro-Israel Trump ally Laura Loomer predicted the ceasefire would ‘fail’.
‘The negotiation is negative for our country. “We haven’t really gotten anything out of this and the terrorists in Iran are celebrating,” he wrote to X. ‘I don’t know why people act like this is a victory.’
Mark Levin, another pro-Israel commentator with close ties to Trump, said the Iranians cannot be trusted, although the President trusts his “gut instincts.”
