Kerala Teen Goes Missing During Family Trek In Karnataka’s Chandradrona Hills

According to information obtained, a search operation was launched after a 10th grade student from Kerala went missing during a family trip to Manikyadhara Falls in the Chandradrona hill district of Chikkamagaluru. The girl was part of a group of around 40 relatives visiting the hills from Palakkad, police officials said. He disappeared while he was at the waterfall with his family around 17.30 on Tuesday. The family searched for him until 8pm before notifying authorities.

The police formed local police teams upon notice and started a search operation in the area, and stated that they continued to comb the hills throughout the night. Thermal drones were used to locate the girl. A large-scale search operation is being carried out in the difficult terrain of the hills, including deep ravines and steep slopes, to trace the missing teenager.

The girl was last seen in a video taken with a family member during the walk. Meanwhile, the officer said that disaster management teams joined the operation on Wednesday morning and searches continue.
