VAHAN to Give Permanent Registration Certificates From April 11

Hyderabad:The transportation department enabled digital processing of vehicle registrations through the VAHAN portal in order to increase transparency, shorten processing time and facilitate access to services.
The system, which has been operational for non-transportation temporary registrations since March 23, has produced over 33,000 temporary registration documents so far. The creation of Permanent Registration Documents will begin on Saturday.
Approximately 1,000 dealers were trained through physical and online sessions to facilitate provisional registrations. A total of 671 dealers have been authorized and included in the system, and 346 financial integrations have been completed to support decentralized service delivery.
Citizens will be able to download their Registration Certificates and Driving Licenses through NextGen mParivahan, with additional services to be introduced gradually. The ministry said the system has been strengthened on a module-by-module basis to improve efficiency, accuracy and reliability, adding that it will continue to focus on technology-driven and citizen-centric service delivery.
