Rajasthan ACB arrests retired IAS officer Subodh Agarwal in Jal Jeevan Mission scam

In a major breakthrough, Rajasthan’s Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Thursday (April 9, 2026) arrested retired Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer Subodh Agarwal in connection with allegations of irregularities in the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) tender process amounting to ₹960 crore. Mr. Agarwal was a fugitive ever since an arrest warrant was issued against him by the court.

Official sources said Mr. Agarwal was arrested in Delhi and later brought to the ACB headquarters here by a team of Bureau sleuths. He was being interrogated by ACB officers and will be produced before a special court here within stipulated time of 24 hours.
