Yankee Stadium ‘fried chicken’ ice cream bucket dessert sells out in one inning

A new treat that went viral at New York City’s Yankee Stadium was gobbled up almost as soon as it arrived last weekend; He flew out of the privileged stands with one shot.
According to reports, the team’s Mini Dessert “Chicken” Bucket (ice cream designed to resemble a fried chicken drumstick) was sold out by popular fan demand during the farm’s launch.
Dessert includes vanilla ice cream covered in caramelized white chocolate and candied cereal with chocolate-covered pretzel “bones.” After its preview before the 2026 season, it quickly became a phenomenon on social media. New York Post reported.

The $10.99 dessert, which comes in a mini souvenir bucket, drew long lines from the start.
Fans packed the concession areas at Yankee Stadium, with some reportedly waiting 20 minutes or more just to try the limited-time product.

“Given how well the product was received at media day, fan interest was tremendous and we sold out of the product in the first inning of Saturday’s game,” Yankees senior director of communications Michael Margolis told The Athletic after the April 4 game.
According to reports, the Yankees initially expected their supply to continue through the team’s next six games against the Miami Marlins and Oakland Athletics.

Fans lucky enough to snag the order were stunned by the uncanny resemblance to a real baguette.
“It really looks and feels like a baguette,” one fan said he told The Athletic. “I wouldn’t know the difference.”

Even veteran Yankees broadcaster Michael Kay, known for rating stadium chicken tenders on social media, had high praise for the dessert.
“It doesn’t get any better,” Kay said in a video review, adding that its quality helps explain why it sold out so quickly.
Many fans online expressed disappointment that they were not able to receive the dessert in time.

“They’re all sold out here at the stadium,” one Instagram user commented on Kay’s video, asking: “How did you manage to find one?” he asked.
Massachusetts-based content creator Cameron Guzzo tried it out during the franchise preview and gave it a perfect score of 8 out of 10.

“What a fun idea,” Guzzo said. TikTok video. “All in all, the flavors work so well together and this is such a fun dessert item, but the messiness just knocks this down like a hair for me,” he added after the baguette split in half and nearly dropped it on the floor.
The Yankees’ culinary team, led by executive chef Robert Flowers, has highlighted creative compromises as part of a broader effort to elevate the game-day experience.

According to the Major League Baseball (MLB) website, the Mini Dessert “Chicken” Bucket has been introduced alongside a wide variety of new menu items for the 2026 season, including special burgers, desserts, and international offerings.

These include bacon cheeseburger patties, loaded macaroni and cheese, apple pie nachos, and the intriguing “Petroni Tiramisu” served in a mini Yankees helmet.
The ice cream bucket’s success echoes past hits at Yankee Stadium, such as the “99 Burger,” named after Bronx Bombers captain Aaron Judge’s number 99.

But that’s not the only stadium food to go viral this season.
The demand underscores a growing trend toward extravagant and oversized stadium fare, including dishes like the Houston Astros’ “patty buns” and the Miami Marlins’ giant folded tortillas, Fox News Digital recently reported.

For now, fans who want to try the viral ice cream dessert will have to wait.
The Yankees said they plan to notify customers via Instagram posts when the product is restocked.
