Drugs gang torches 82-year-old widow’s home as she sleeps | News

Police footage shows an 82-year-old widow sleeping when flames engulfed her home after four men set fire to the property on the orders of an overseas criminal group “over a debt owed to a family member of the victim”.

In the early hours of July 28, 2025, the team traveled from Weston-super-Mare to the victim’s property in Ferndale, Wales, where they used two canisters of petrol to set fire to the grandmother’s house.

With the help of neighbors and police, the victim was able to get out of the house safely.

The gang were pulled over on the A470 after a police officer spotted the getaway car, which had previously been marked as being used for drug deals.

Connor Pitt, 24, Auryn Gustur, 19, Alfie Wheeler, 19, and Lewis Manito, 33, were sentenced to between nine and 18 years in prison for the attack.
