The Madras High Court heard oral arguments in a case related to the release of lead actor and spy action thriller ‘Chiyan’ Vikram and Aishwarya Rajesh. Dhruva Natchathiram and it was decided to transmit the orders on Friday, April 24, 2024. Directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon, the film was facing issues in getting a theatrical release for several years due to financial issues.

Justice Senthilkumar Ramamoorthy heard the arguments of senior advocate Srinath Sridevan on behalf of investors K. Punniamoorthy and K. Premkumar, who approached the court and obtained an interim injunction to restrict the release of the film in 2023 until their dues are paid, and senior advocate A. Abdul Hameed, assisted by Revathi Manivannan, on behalf of Mr. Menon.
