Two held with suspected MDMA in Kozhikode

In a major crackdown on synthetic drug smuggling, a special team of the Excise Department arrested two persons, including a woman, carrying 3.3 kg of suspected MDMA worth around ₹3 crore during a flash inspection at Pantheerankavu in Kozhikode on Thursday.

The carriers were identified as PK Shafeeq (35) from Kondotty and Fathima Nasrin (20) from Adivaram. Their vehicles were seized upon the notice of the anti-narcotics team.
