Furious King Charles and Donald Trump clash erupts on LBC | TV & Radio | Showbiz & TV

LBC presenter James O’Brien and a caller meet with King George III during Donald Trump’s visit to the US. He got into a heated argument about how to treat Charles. During today’s show, the pair discussed King Charles and Queen Camilla’s visit to Trump this week to mark the 250th anniversary of US independence.

After landing in Washington, D.C., O’Brien said: “If you think about Volodymr Zelensky’s visit and his planned attempt to humiliate a man who fought against Vladimir Putin. David, that’s what I mean when I say there’s no depth he can’t delve into.” He was referring to Zelensky’s extraordinary dressing in front of the world’s media after Trump and Vice President J.D. Vance asked him to show more gratitude to the United States for its support.

However, the caller, who believed that the visit would be very different from the visit with the Ukrainian leader, said: “It is completely different. There is also a possibility that it will be him.” [Trump] “It is absolutely minimal for him to treat the King the way he treated Zelensky.”

The LBC star replied: “So who do you think he’s been respectful and appropriate towards during his presidency?”

The caller said the King was “much more impartial” and did not make the visit because he was “head of government.”

O’Brien stammered when he repeated his question about Trump and finally said: “He’s not a political figure, he’s not like other leaders, James. You can’t compare.”

The guest called his question “irrelevant” after asking it a third time.

He became enraged: “You are trying to frame the argument to make your own point.” But the radio presenter slapped him: “I’m not, I’m just asking you a friendly question. He’s also met other heads of state and insulted them. So why should our King be any different?”

Laughing in disbelief, the person claimed: “Because the King is in a different position than other people. Trump knows the King has to go there and represent the British government.”

“There is no reason for him to act aggressively towards the King.”
