A large fire broke out in Hackney, London, and more than 50 firefighters reportedly responded. The fire broke out on Mount Pleasant Lane in the north of the capital this evening, with one person reporting that the fire “started very quickly before my eyes”.

Another social media user at the scene said more than 50 firefighters from the London Fire Brigade were sent to fight the blaze. Photos and videos shared on X show a large cloud of gray smoke pouring into the sky, apparently visible from miles away.
