Prince William and Kate Middleton mark 15th wedding anniversary with never-before-seen family photo

The Prince and Princess of Wales celebrated their 15th wedding anniversary by sharing a never-before-seen family photo, capturing a cozy moment in the sunshine.

In the candid photo, taken by photographer Matt Porteous, William and Kate are seen enjoying a barefoot Easter holiday in Cornwall with their children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.

The image depicts the family of five lying on their backs, shoulder to shoulder, on the grass, while Louis playfully rests his legs on his mother Kate.

All except the Princess of Wales are wearing shorts.

Their black cocker spaniel, Orla, is seen alongside William, accompanied by an unnamed brown spaniel.

The second dog is the one that William and Kate hid from Orla’s puppies. William was photographed with the puppies in a post to celebrate his birthday in 2025.

Kensington Palace shared the new photo on social media with the message “We are celebrating 15 years of marriage” and a red heart emoji.

This comes after the prince and princess hit hard times when Kate was diagnosed with cancer in 2024.

The cancer was discovered while the princess was undergoing major abdominal surgery and later underwent preventive chemotherapy.

At the time, Kate praised her husband as “a great source of comfort and reassurance.”

He announced in 2025 that he was in recovery, and the family later made a fresh start by moving to a new house, the eight-bedroom Forest Lodge in Windsor Great Park, in the autumn.

The couple, who met at the University of St Andrews, got married in a fairytale ceremony at Westminster Abbey on April 29, 2011, and then kissed on the balcony of Buckingham Palace, winning the admiration of the crowd.

The bride wore an intricate ivory Sarah Burton gown with lace applique floral detailing for Alexander McQueen, while the groom wore the red tunic of the Irish Guards.

William and Kate welcomed their first child and heir, George, in 2013, followed by Charlotte in 2015 and Louis in 2018.
