Meghan Markle jets to Chicago alone to support her godson for his First Communion

Meghan Markle flew solo across the United States to support her godson on his First Communion day – but her next appearance was mysteriously deleted, the Daily Mail revealed today.
The Duchess of Sussex was seen smiling as she handled a group of children in the hallway of the Holy Name Cathedral in Chicago on Saturday.
A Sussex source told People:It turns out that Meghan’s godson, who has long been the Sussexes’ favorite US media outlet, is the child of an old friend from her alma mater, Northwestern University.
An insider said the Duchess was like any other member of the congregation, except for her personal bodyguard.
‘Meghan arrived at church early and waited in the pews with other family and friends and did not use a separate entrance or have private accommodation.’
The source confirmed: ‘Meghan traveled to Chicago over the weekend for the First Communion of the son of one of her closest friends from university, and Meghan was the boy’s godmother.’
Chicago TV reporter Natalie Martinez, whose daughter also made her first communion at the same Catholic service, took a photo of her daughter walking past Meghan.
However, the photo, which remained online for a short time, was deleted by Ms. Martinez, who shared a photo of her daughter with the caption: “Yes, that’s who you think she is on the right.”
The Duchess of Sussex, photographed in Australia last month, flew to Chicago to support her godson at his first communion
Meghan recently took to social media to show pride in being a Northwestern graduate by wearing a sweatshirt
Natalie made no comment as to why she removed the file, including whether she was asked to delete it.
The trip to Chicago also reveals that Meghan has more godchildren than first thought.
It is known that she is the godmother of sisters Remi and Rylan Litt, the daughters of their close friends Benita and Darren Litt.
Remi and Rylan were bridesmaids at Harry and Meghan’s wedding in 2018.
It has now been revealed that he also has a godson in Chicago, about 12 miles away from Northwestern University, where he studied between 1999 and 2003.
He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in theater and international studies.
People did not name either his godson or his parents.
Considering that this is the age of first communion and first confession for a baptized Catholic child, the child is likely to be around seven or eight years old.
Meghan’s own son, Prince Archie, will celebrate his seventh birthday on Wednesday, May 6.
The king’s grandson will enjoy the festivities in Montecito, across the UK from where his parents stopped working as royals in 2020.
Archie’s title has been fraught with controversy since months ago, when Prince Harry, 41, and Meghan Markle, 44, welcomed their baby boy for the first time.
Meghan’s former classmate recently shared a photo on Instagram from her days during a salsa class at Northwestern University. Pictured on the far left. It was not known that he was his godson by a friend he made there.
But the biggest scandal surrounding the birth of the young royal appeared to be about her title.
Or actually the lack of it.
Shortly after Archie’s birth, Meghan announced that Archie would become a ‘private citizen’ without a title, as they did not want Archie to be bound by tradition or history.
The couple insisted they wanted their son to be known simply as ‘Mr Archie’ and not carry a royal title, which was done to help protect his privacy.
At the time, journalists such as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s future biographer Omid Scobie gushed that the decision was ‘all part’ of their desire to give their son ‘as normal a life as possible’.
But during her and Harry’s infamous Oprah Winfrey interview in 2021, Meghan revealed that the Royal Family had actually denied Archie the title, and also suggested that the decision was linked to concerns about his skin colour.
Recently, Meghan sold candles linked to her children, called the Prince and Princess, whose grandfather is now the King.
The Sussexes did not attend any events during King Charles’ state visit to the United States last week.
The Daily Mail’s Alison Boshoff said they still found a way to insert themselves into the media discourse.
People magazine’s cover story said their trip to Australia was hailed as the blueprint for the couple’s new working model.
Speaking to sources in California, the story is one of wall-to-wall disagreements and alienation.
The Mail’s source said Meghan and Harry now have no bridges to burn.
A source says: ‘They really lost the plot. I heard he got worse because he knew nothing was working. everything about it [As Ever] It is no longer true that items are sold out. ‘I don’t think either of them are happy.’
Archie and Lilibet (pictured), now four, were not ‘princes’ and ‘princesses’ when they were born as they were not grandchildren of the then monarch. However, they became entitled to these titles with the accession of King Charles to the throne in 2022. Archie turns seven on Wednesday.
The source told me they believe the couple’s problems are worse than many suspects because of Meghan and Harry’s unfortunate habit of falling out with people who could help them sort things out financially.
One of the biggest names on this list is Anna Wintour, who attended a charity gala with Charles and Camilla in New York on Wednesday.
The source says Dame Anna turned against Meghan in 2019 when she collaborated with then-British Vogue editor Edward Enninful on the magazine’s ‘Forces for Change’ issue.
There’s been a long-running rivalry between US Vogue’s Dame Anna and British Vogue’s Enninful, and Meghan has apparently unwisely chosen her side. Enninful is no longer editor of British Vogue. Wintour has stepped down as the day-to-day editor of US Vogue but remains Global Editorial Director and Chief Content Officer at Conde Nast and looks stronger than ever.
“Meghan pledged allegiance to Enninful, which angered Anna,” the source says. “Anna hates her. Meghan doesn’t want to pay and never returns the items.
‘Also Anna loves the Royal Family. She’s a Dame. Anna hated it when they were like this [the Sussexes] ‘They have handled their exit from the Firm.’
