Son of Charles Krauthammer congratulates winners of annual Fox News scholarship

The late Fox News contributor Dr. Charles Krauthammer’s son, Daniel Krauthammer, is this year’s seventh annual Dr. He appeared on “Special Report” Monday to honor recipients of the Charles Krauthammer Memorial Scholarship and reflect on his father’s enduring legacy.
Dr. The Charles Krauthammer Memorial Scholarship is awarded annually to the children of Fox News employees.
This year’s scholarship recipients are Amanda Parker from Walter Panas High School in Cortlandt Manor, NY, and Tess Sonne from Horace Greeley High School in Chappaqua, NY. Both are seniors and valedictorians of their class.

During his academic career, Parker received the Harvard Book Award and the Advanced Placement Chemistry Award and was also honored as a National Merit Scholarship Commended Student. She will attend Stony Brook University in the fall and plans to study environmental biology. Parker is the daughter of a Fox News Media video editor.
Sonne is a leader of Model United Nations and a recipient of the George Eastman Young Leaders Award. He earned his EMT certification and devoted his time to the Chappaqua Volunteer Ambulance Corps. He will attend the University of Virginia this fall. Sonne is the daughter of a senior executive at FOX Nation.

Dr. Charles Krauthammer’s son, Daniel Krauthammer, appeared on the “Special Report” program, while the annual Dr. He congratulated the two students who will receive the Charles Krauthammer Memorial Scholarship.
“The scholarship really celebrates my father’s memory in a big way, his love of learning, and we’re really excited to congratulate Amanda and Tess,” Daniel Krauthammer told Fox News’ Bret Baier. “It’s so fun to see what these kids are interested in every year. And it seems these two are interested in science – Amanda in ecology and Tess in medicine. And, as you know, my father spent most of his life in these parts. Although he found his way into writing in politics, I know he would say that learning in any field enriches other fields. So we’re very happy for them.”
“This scholarship suggests that they will love what they do, encourage a love of learning among these children, and we are delighted to congratulate them,” he added.
Charles Krauthammer appeared regularly on Fox News Channel, offering sharp political analysis as a panelist on shows such as “Special Report” and “Fox News Sunday” from 2002 until his death in 2018.
