Prince Harry’s ‘very important’ parenting priority as Archie turns 7 | Royal | News

The royal family became fathers for the second time after the birth of Princess Lilibet in 2021. The couple decided to raise their children away from the restrictions of the Firm; seven-year-old Archie and four-year-old Lilibet were purchased in California.

Harry, who spent his upbringing in the public eye, is said to be determined to ensure his children are allowed to “develop their own identities”.

“They give their kids space to be themselves, to let their different personalities develop,” a source told PEOPLE.

“This was really important to Harry after growing up so publicly.”

Harry recently spoke about his own childhood at an event in Australia; The couple spent four days Down Under for the mock royal tour.

At an event hosted by Movember, she said: “I see parenting evolving over time. Our children are our upgrade. I’m not saying I’m improving my father or that my children are improving me, but in today’s world the children we raise need to be upgraded too.”

“No judgment, no blame. No matter how you parent…you’ll want to cultivate that.”

To celebrate Archie’s seventh birthday today, Meghan shared two adorable photos of her “sweet children” on her Instagram account.

In the first photo, Meghan holds an adorable photo of newborn Archie sleeping on Prince Harry’s lap. The second photo is a photo of Archie with Princess Lilibet, presumably on a beach near their home in California.
