Man Sentenced For Cow Slaughter Case In Visakhapatnam

Visakhapatnam: Chief Magistrate Visakhapatnam M. Pradeep Kumar on Thursday sentenced Muhammad Ibrahim, 30, a resident of Arilova, to seven days rigorous imprisonment and a fine of Rs 1,000 in a cow slaughter case.
The court found him guilty of slaughtering two cows in Mustafa Colony in Arilova in December 2024.
According to senior deputy prosecutor Mylapilli Adinarayana, Arilova police arrested Ibrahim on December 22, 2024, for allegedly slaughtering and selling cow meat. A criminal complaint was later filed in the case.
The court observed that the prosecution had established the offense under sections 6 and 10 of the Andhra Pradesh Prohibition of Cow Slaughter and Animal Protection Act, 1977.
