Shay Mitchell suits up in red swimsuit filming Fox’s ‘Baywatch’ reboot

Shay Mitchell and Jessica Belkin prepare for lifeguard duty in iconic red swimsuits on the “Baywatch” set.

Mitchell was photographed stepping into character in a bright red one-piece lifeguard swimsuit on the “Baywatch” set in Venice, Calif., on May 1. The “Pretty Little Liars” alum shielded her eyes from the California sun as she posed near the beach set with sunglasses in one hand.

Another shot from the beach set showed Mitchell walking barefoot on the sand while looking at her phone. Her long black hair blew in the wind as she completed her lifeguard look with dark sunglasses and a white watch.

Belkin was also spotted filming scenes for the Fox reboot on May 1. The actress was photographed wearing a red swimsuit while kneeling in the sand next to lifeguard equipment.

The 23-year-old actress posed between shots, leaning on an orange first aid kit, with her wet blonde hair falling over her shoulders.

He then began using equipment that appeared to provide medical aid to a man sitting in the sand. Wearing blue gloves, he leaned over the actor as other red-suited lifeguards and beachgoers stood nearby.

Belkin was also photographed a few days earlier, on April 23, posing on a boat wearing her signature swimsuit.

The new “Baywatch” series is a reimagining of Fox’s classic lifeguard drama, which first premiered in 1989 and is known for its red swimsuits, beach rescues and slow-motion runs.

The reboot marks Mitchell’s final TV stint after rising to fame as Emily Fields on “Pretty Little Liars”; it was a role he recently considered while appearing on “” in November.Call his father.”

“‘Pretty Little Liars’ was the biggest turning point in my life,” Mitchell said. “Before that, I was doing bottle service, and when I applied for this job, it changed my life forever.”

Mitchell, who plays Trina in the new “Baywatch,” told host Alex Cooper that she has always opposed incarceration.

“I just want to be free. Like I just want to be me, whatever it is,” he said.

Belkin, meanwhile, plays Charlie Vale, the daughter of Stephen Amell’s Hobie Buchannon. The actress is gaining momentum with her roles in “The Hunting Wives” and the upcoming “Legally Blonde” prequel series “Elle.”

In an interview in August Forbes, Belkin said he was ready to open a new page in his career.

“I feel like I’m ready for a fresh start and a clean slate for all of this,” Belkin said.

The new “Baywatch” series follows a new crew of lifeguards at Venice Beach and stars Amell as Hobie, the son of David Hasselhoff’s Mitch Buchannon. The cast also includes Hassie Harrison, Noah Beck, Brooks Nader, Livvy Dunne, David Chokachi and Erika Eleniak.

Chokachi and Eleniak appeared in the original series, which ran for 11 seasons.
