Telangana BIE re-releases admission schedule; classes for Inter first year to begin from June 1

Phase I admissions to first year at Intermediate Level will begin on Tuesday and classes will begin from June 1, the Board of Intermediate Education (BIE) said on Monday while reissuing the admission schedule for 2026-27.
According to the program, the application deadline for all colleges is May 31, and in the first stage, admissions will be completed by June 30.
BIE has instructed the principals of all colleges in the state to grant provisional admissions based on the internet marks scores downloaded by candidates on the result day. This will be confirmed after the candidates submit the original SSC pass certificate and Transfer Certificate issued by the school authorities.
The Board’s admissions schedule for the upcoming academic year was first published on May 5 but was soon delayed due to a lack of clarity regarding the Interim Board’s proposed merger with schools as a unified system. The state government later postponed the decision.
Principals of colleges were also instructed to limit each section to a maximum of 88 students; For additional sections, prior approval of the Board is required. For this purpose, university administrations are also required to prominently display the number of departments approved by the Board and the number of occupied and vacant quotas in each department at the entrance of the building on a daily basis. Students’ Aadhaar information is mandatory at the time of application.
BIE instructed principals to ensure the safety of female students and make it mandatory for both students and parents to make an anti-drug declaration at the time of admission.
